Post-Establishment Compliance Tasks for a Local Company in Vietnam

01 - Tasks to Handle Immediately After Incorporation
(i) Display the company signboard (stating the company name, tax code, and address — important as evidence of actual operations; failure to display it risks suspension of the tax code)
(ii) Open a bank account (Vietcombank: the largest local bank, strong on foreign-currency procedures; BIDV: supports securities transactions for foreign individuals and foreign entities; Techcombank: good service quality with competitive deposit interest rates)
(iii) Complete various tax matters (business tax declaration and payment, purchase of a digital signature token and e-invoices, social insurance registration)
(iv) Draft and file internal labor regulations (mandatory registration once the company has 10 or more employees)

02 - Statutory Reporting Obligations That Arise Once the Company Is Operating
These include: employee headcount reporting (within 30 days of incorporation, to the employment service center under the Department of Labor); reporting of changes in employee headcount (only when a change occurs); reports on labor usage and on the use of foreign workers (to the Department of Labor, every six months); periodic investment activity reports (to the Department of Planning and Investment, quarterly and annually); investment monitoring and evaluation reports (to the Department of Planning and Investment, semi-annually and annually, also required when renewing the IRC); other reports (fire safety, environmental protection, personal data protection, and statistics-related reports); and business-specific reports (content varies depending on the industry).
